New features are added, teams find different uses for existing tools, and employees bring AI into everyday work without always recognising that the risk may have changed with it.

AI use rarely stays exactly as it was when it was first approved. EU AI Act, Shadow AI & High-Risk Drift is designed to help you notice those changes and work out when they need closer attention.

The course covers high-risk AI under the EU AI Act, including the eight high-risk areas in Annex III, but the learning goes beyond classification. You will look at Shadow AI, changing responsibilities, human oversight and the practical problems that arise when the way an AI system is used no longer matches the assumptions made about it.

Real legal developments and cross-border examples bring the regulatory issues into context. You will also examine the human side of AI governance, including automation bias and what can happen when people stop questioning an automated decision or do not feel able to challenge it.

Case studies, reflection exercises and practical scenarios give you opportunities to work through the issues for yourself, helping you recognise where a problem may be developing, ask the right questions and know when further assessment or escalation is needed.

No coding or technical audit experience is required. The course is suitable for leaders and professionals responsible for, or involved in, how AI is used within an organisation.

Duration: Approximately 2.5–4 hours, self-paced.

CKC Cares Group provides education and strategic guidance on ethical and regulatory AI use. This course does not replace legal advice or formal regulatory assessment.
